Lead Environment Artist
Location: Auckland, | Salary: $103,000 PA

We are looking for a Lead Environment Artist to be part of their creative team and work on ambitious Playstation4, Xbox One and PC games. This is a full-time position based in our Auckland office which involves working in an international environment.
The ideal candidate will have a great aesthetic eye, have strong technical understanding of environment assets and level creation, have proven leadership and mentoring abilities, be a great communicator and be able to take creative direction from the Art Director and Creative Director.
What you will be doing

Oversee the creation of realistic 3D environments for AAA projects

Ensure all environments are optimised and built in accordance with the platforms technical limitations
-
Review and deliver work in accordance with the project's artistic direction, and ensure unified look and consistent quality across all game environments
-
Develop knowledge and expertise within their team while furthering their own performance and skillbase
-
Provide mentorship, feedback, and training to others on the team
-
Partner with design team to support encounters, narrative elements and objectives
-
Help set up level art best practices and streamline production processes
-
Identify project risks and problems and suggest relevant solutions
-
Prioritize, plan and organise tasks for themselves and their team in conjunction with the Producer
-
Delegate and assign work to team members using tracking tools such as Jira, Hansoft and Basecamp

Assist with interviews and performance reviews
What you should have
-
Extensive games industry experience with some in an art leadership role (shipped at least 1 AAA console title)

An outstanding portfolio demonstrating your environment work

Proven leadership, team and people management skills

Thorough understanding of the game creation process, from concept to launch.

An in-depth understanding of effective asset creation and optimisation
-
Expert knowledge in a 3D modeling software such as Maya, 3DSMax and sculpting software such as ZBrush and Mudbox

Excellent knowledge in material and texture creation such as Substance Painter and Photoshop and a comprehensive understanding of PBR pipelines
-
Strong sense of scene composition and visual storytelling, with a strong eye for lighting, colour and detail

Passion for pushing the state of the art in asset fidelity and production techniques

Game Programmer – Unity – PC/ Console Games
Location: Auckland | Salary: $110,000 PA

The successful candidate will be passionate about high quality games, like building fun gameplay mechanics and knows a couple things about game design.
REQUIREMENTS:

Strong Unity 3D and C# skills

Extensive professional experience in the games industry, with at least one major game credit

High proficiency in writing efficient, organised, and highly performant code

Proficiency in the use of common data structures and algorithms

Working knowledge of version control software

Quality Assurance
Location: Auckland | Salary: $63,000 PA

We are looking to hire a QA Lead to join our main studio in Auckland. This role offers plenty of variety in regard to genre of game and platforms to work on. You will work in-house at the studio and report to the QA Manager. You will also work with QA teams within the other studios and also in our client U.S office to achieve the best submissions possible.
Responsibilities:

You will take ownership of one or more projects, and oversee the entire QA process

Responsible for managing the bug database and providing reports

You ensure the proper execution of tests and coordinate the work of teams of internal and / or external testers

Creation of test plans based on Milestones and GDDs and monitor their usage

Assisting the QA Manager with departmental tasks
-
Compiling project status reports and raising any concerns to the relevant stakeholders

Testing games to destruction and writing bug reports
Profile:

The candidate must have already had experience in QA on one or more titles, throughout the whole production

Preferably has knowledge of compliance for, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 or Nintendo Switch

Design Producer – Console Game
Location: Auckland | Salary: $125,000 PA

We are looking to grow this team with the addition of a skilled and experienced Design Producer. As an integral part of the production process, you’ll be interacting with all disciplines and driving the delivery of high quality features using modern development methodologies.
In addition to your knowledge of production practice, you will also have an understanding modern game design principles. Your keen eye for detail and risk management experience will allow you to achieve exceptional quality in all aspects of game production, driven by your genuine passion for games and games development.

Producer
Location: Auckland | Salary: $135,000
This vacancy may offer a work-from-home start until it’s safe to work in-house or relocate to the location.
You will be primarily responsible for monitoring the progress of cross disciplined teams and maintaining the schedule and backlog. Through this work you will provide the Senior Producer with regular updates on status and risks as required. Your work in coordinating resources and goals alongside the Senior Producer and Discipline Leads will ensure the successful completion of milestones and deliveries.
On a day to day basis you will run stand ups and other meetings efficiently, pushing for best practice in production at all times. You will also drive effective communication amongst the team and help to resolve problems for team members and the project as a whole in a timely manner.
The perfect candidate should be an energetic and organised person who can motivate the team and who strives to develop themselves and others. We want someone who will work with the people on the team, as well as a proactive problem solver who can adapt quickly to facilitate the team and the studio's needs.
